A Joy to Drive
The VW T5 and T6 do not disappoint. Their sophisticated independent suspension and precise electric power assisted steering, provides a comfortable and safe handling camper which is a joy to drive over long distances.
Controls and seating are shared with the VW Passat and Golf and ergonomically designed to provide a near car like driving experience whilst giving the excellent visibility associated with high end SUV vehicles.
Future Proof Diesel Technology – Euro V and VI
The VW 2.0 L Diesel engine is renowned for its reliability, economy and longevity. It is quiet and flexible, and supplied with either manual or DSG automatic gear boxes. Bluemotion technology delivers amazing performance whilst delivering great economy with true green credentials.
Most of our customers choose the 102 bhp engine, providing a good balance of power and economy. For the more ‘quick footed’, there are 140/150 bhp and 180 /204 bhp models available. In the latest T6 models the engines are configured to meet the very stringent Euro VI emission regulations, with no reduction in performance.
A Dream to Park
Both T5 and T6 share the same basic platform and unlike most other campers, fit easily into standard parking spaces. The VW Park Assist, standard on Trendline and Highline models, makes our campers a dream to park – no Reginald Molehusbands here ( for those that remember him!)
T5 hands over to T6
The T6 was introduced in late 2015, and in many ways the differences over the T6 are subtle. The T6 styling is slightly sharper to reflect upgrades across the VW range, the engines post September 16 are Euro VI, and the interior has been re-styled to include a DAB radio as standard on the models that we supply.
Our Trendline and Highline models include Aircon, Cruise Control, Rear parking assist, Hill start assist, Bluetooth and electric/heated/folding mirrors as standard. The Highline further benefits from alloy wheels, fog lights, rain sensors, auto lights, heated windscreen, and steering wheel controls….a truly luxurious mix.
The re-assurance of manufacturer warranties
All new VW’s come with a manufacturer’s 3 year warranty, and even those buying an approved used vehicle will benefit from the remainder of this warranty. The majority of vehicles we provide are less that 12 months old, and therefore have at least 24 months warranty on the vehicle and also on the Leisuredrive build. The VW warranty also includes European wide roadside assistance and recovery for the duration of the warranty.
